The first material in Telmo's practice. Most of the door pieces
are carved in wood — each grain resisting the blade, each
finished surface carrying the memory of the cut.

Limestone, marble, slate. Where wood records gesture, stone
holds it permanently. Pieces in stone are slower to make and
built to remain.

The primary medium for site-specific works. Durable, dense,
resistant to weather — fired ceramic preserves the trace of
the hand for centuries.
